A loud bang was heard over large parts of Stockholm at 02.10.
A large police operation has been launched due to the explosion.
– Lots of police and ambulances here, says a person living in Storskogen in Sundbyberg.
Pictures from the area show devastation on a facade of an apartment building in the residential area near the Näckrosen subway station.

Windows have been pushed in and there is damage to balconies.
Many woke up
According to SVT no one should have been injured in the explosion.
Many readers have contacted Aftonbladet after waking up to the powerful explosion.
“Feeled like the windows were going to be pushed in,” says a person living in central Stockholm.
“Shook in bed,” says another.
Readers in southern Stockholm and Bromma have also sounded the alarm after hearing the bang.
