A man was killed by an explosion in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv on Sunday evening. According to Israel’s police and security services, it was an attempted terrorist act.
The man who died carried the explosive device himself, according to the Israeli authorities. In addition to this, one person was injured in the blast.
The Israeli police suspect that the man wanted to attack a synagogue that was nearby, Haaretz newspaper reports. He is believed to have carried an explosive device in a large backpack.
