It was around 8pm on Monday evening that police received information that a person threw an object into a shop in Geneta in Södertälje, whereupon an explosion allegedly occurred.
The crime scene was cordoned off and a large police operation began.
Two people injured
Later in the evening, police were able to establish that a person was seriously injured and taken to hospital in an ambulance helicopter.
Aftonbladet reports that one more person has been injured.
– Two people are injured. One has received shrapnel injuries and one is badly shocked, says the officer on duty at the rescue service according to The evening paper.
Several people deprived of liberty
According to the police, several people are to be detained after the incident and a criminal investigation into, among other things, attempted murder has been initiated.
