Explosion in residential area – illegal threats are being investigated

On Sunday evening, the police received a call about an explosion in a residential area in Nälsta in western Stockholm.

The remains of a more powerful pyrotechnic piece and a sign for a residential property were found at the scene, which has been damaged, the police write on their website.

No one was injured in the incident.

The police have started a criminal investigation into serious illegal threats and violations of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods. The place is cordoned off and forensics has begun an investigation and the perpetrator is also being searched with a patrol dog.
