The police suspect that it was heavy fireworks, even though no traces of fireworks were found at the scene. The explosion completely damaged a number of windows of two-storey houses on Spaaklaan. The glass at the entrance porch was also damaged, as were a number of bushes outside whose leaves were swept away.
