Explosion in Huddinge – closure affects traffic

At 04.21 the police were alerted to a loud bang in a residential area in Snättringe, south of Stockholm.

There, something is said to have detonated at a terraced house.

– There was minor property damage and no one was injured, says Towe Hägg.

The police have cordoned off the site and the area is to be searched by dogs, as well as bomb and forensics technicians. The closure affected traffic on Häradsvägen, between Måsvägen and Utsäljeleden, until 06:20.

– But we are still there as there are still some investigations, and partly the National Bomb Protection’s technicians must work on site. Forensic technicians will also investigate, says Towe Hägg.

A preliminary investigation into the public danger of devastation has been launched.
