Explosion in Farsta strand

There has been an explosion in a stairwell in Farsta strand, the police write on their website.
According to callers to the emergency services, people were seen leaving the scene shortly afterwards.

The alarm came in to the police at 21.34. According to several callers, a large bang was heard followed by several people leaving the scene.

At the moment, no injuries are known.

– Something has exploded in or near a stairwell. The gate, stairwell and doors in the stairwell have been damaged.

Echoed across the lake

The explosion took place on Brunskogsbacken in Farsta Strand. The bangs are said to have been heard over a large area. A person writes on social media that it was heard over the nearby lake Magelungen:

“We live on the other side of Magelungen and it echoed beautifully across the lake”

The police have decided to evacuate the property. No one has been arrested.
