The alarm about the detonation came at 8:30 p.m. on Monday evening. The explosion is said to have taken place in a stairwell of an apartment building and the police are hunting the perpetrator.
According to the police, at least five people have been injured. Their injuries are described as minor. One of the apartments has had its front door and windows destroyed.
– We don’t know what exploded yet, says Daniel Wikdahl at the Stockholm police.
The incident is currently classified as a public hazard devastation.

Later in the evening, the police announced that the National Bomb Squad investigated the scene and found nothing dangerous. The emergency services have also examined the house and assessed that there is no racial risk and therefore residents do not need to be evacuated.
Police technicians are working at the scene and have been able to begin their technical investigation during the evening.
