Two explosions occurred in the Stockholm area during the evening.
In Nykvarn, something exploded at a townhouse and in Södertälje an explosion occurred at a villa.
“No one has been injured in any of the cases,” says Mats Eriksson, spokesperson for the police.
The alarm from Nykvarn came in at 18.37 about an explosion in connection with a townhouse. According to the police, the explosion is likely to have occurred at a lawn.
A fire arose, which later went out and a patio and a car suffered damage. No person was injured in connection with the bang.
– We are looking for a perpetrator and have been in some place to find out what is behind this. Technicians will also go to the site and we talk to witnesses who have made observations, says Mats Eriksson.
Two explosions in a quarter
Just over ten minutes later, the alarm came from Södertälje. Someone had thrown in an object that exploded on a villa plot. The police state that there should be no major damage to the home.
– It has happened on the front of an independent house, it is unclear what it is that has exploded, says Mats Eriksson.
The police are now looking for a perpetrator, who was seen by several witnesses. The incident is investigated as a permanent destruction.
– Several observations have been made on what can be a possible perpetrator, says Mats Eriksson.
