During the morning, the Copenhagen police were alerted to the Nørrebro district in northwest Copenhagen after several loud bangs were heard in the area.
The police arrived with large resources at the suspected crime scene and describe the effort as “massive” on X, formerly Twitter. The police confirm that an explosion took place and expect to be on the scene for several hours.
“An explosion has occurred in a clubhouse on Svanvej, which belongs to one of the groups that are part of the ongoing gang conflict,” writes the Copenhagen police on X.
Forensic analysts and chemical preparedness are also on site to investigate what caused the explosions. But the police are investigating it as a deliberate act.
No one is reported to have been injured in connection with the explosion.
