An explosion has occurred in a townhouse area in Tynnered in Gothenburg on the night of Saturday. No one was injured.
– But one house suffered extensive damage to the entrance and adjacent properties were damaged by shrapnel, says Johan Josarp, officer on duty at the police.
Residents in the area have been temporarily evacuated and the national bomb protection team will investigate the site.
Parallel to the crime scene investigation, a hunt is underway for one or more perpetrators and the police are knocking on doors to collect witness information.
No one has been arrested. A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been launched.
Are there any known threats against someone at the address?
– I don’t know at the moment, that’s what we’re working with now, says Johan Josarp.
