Explosion at gate in Falkenberg

Shortly before 11pm on Thursday evening, the police were alerted to an address in central Falkenberg after several people in the area heard a loud bang, writes Hallands Nyheter.

When the police arrived at the scene, they were able to ascertain that something had exploded at a gate to an apartment building.

There are no reports of injured persons. The police have classified the incident as a public-dangerous devastation.

An area has been cordoned off and the police have several resources on site to carry out, among other things, interviews with witnesses in the area.

Third explosion in a short time

It is the third time in the space of a week that an explosion has occurred in the area. The latest explosion happened late last Tuesday evening, and the police were able to connect that incident to previous explosions in Gothenburg after a while.

– We are investigating possible connections with previous explosions, says Fredrik Flyberg, officer on duty at the police to Hallands Nyheter.

There are currently no arrests.
