Explosion at Coop one to hospital

There has been an explosion at Stora Coop in Gothenburg, the police announced on Thursday morning.

The explosion is said to have occurred around late Wednesday evening.

Explosion on the roof of the Coop shop

It is a pipe that must have exploded on the roof of Stora Coop, the police write on theirs homepage.

Around ten people were said to have been on the roof when the explosion took place.

The reason behind the explosion must have been that the pipes were full of carbon dioxide, which was not known. A 35-year-old man has been taken to hospital, but is said to have no serious injuries.

The police are investigating the incident as a workplace accident.
