During Saturday evening, an explosion occurred in Botkyrka, south of Stockholm. The alarm came in to the police around 7 p.m.
– Something has exploded at a chain house. We don’t know what it is yet. We can only see material damage at the site. We have no information that anyone was injured, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
Among other things, the door to the house has been damaged.
– It is a chain house, they are joined together with storage, but the house bodies are not built together.
Looking for a perpetrator
The police are now working on the scene and looking for a perpetrator.
– We have not detained anyone, we are working on doing so. We are searching in places where a perpetrator may have gone.
The police classify the incident as gross destruction of public danger and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
