The police were alerted to some form of detonation in Norsborg in Botkyrka municipality south of Stockholm on Wednesday evening.
“At the moment we do not know much, it is something that detonated at an apartment building in Norsborg,” police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl told Expressen.
There is no information that any person has been injured.
– We were initially alerted about an explosion in a house, where we thought it would burn. It did not burn but was a bit smoky on the spot. It was calm on the spot when we arrived, says Per Tyllander, internal commander at the rescue service, to Expressen.
The incident is being investigated as a general destruction.
