Police and emergency services were alerted to a loud bang in Tullinge.
On site, a fire was found in an industrial premises.
– We are quite sure that the bang came from the fire, says Daniel Kaissidis at the rescue service.
The first of several calls to 112 came at 01:31 and was about a loud bang in Tullinge in Botkyrka municipality, south of Stockholm.
Emergency services and police were alerted to an address just east of Tullinge station.
– The police have not found anything there. However, there is a confirmed fire in an industrial area some distance away, down towards Himmelsbodavägen. We are pretty sure that the bang came from the fire, says Daniel Kaissidis, officer on duty at Södertörn’s fire brigade.
Several readers contacted Aftonbladet after the alarm.
– It was a real blow. I woke up from it, says a woman who lives in Tullinge.
– The window bowed here. I was awake and watching Netflix when it rained, says another reader.
Three fire trucks and around 20 firefighters are participating in the rescue operation.
– Our assessment is that the fire had an explosive initial course, says Daniel Kaissidis.
