Ticks, which are common in the Central Anatolia Region, especially around Yozgat, Sivas and Tokat, and cause Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) disease, pose a risk for those living in rural areas. Experts, who say that CCHF causes fatal consequences, warn citizens who go on picnics in agricultural areas, green areas and places where animal husbandry is carried out, and ask them to be cautious.
The vote on the CCHF virus, which emerged as a result of tick bites in Sivas, continues to cause deaths. 36-year-old mother of two, Şehir Tanrıveren, who was treated for CCHF at Sivas Cumhuriyet University Hospital, passed away in the morning. With Tanriveren, the number of deaths due to CCHF in Sivas this year increased to 3.
It is estimated that Tanriveren was infected with the virus from the cattle he kept. The young woman will be buried in Boğazgöze village of Gölova district of Sivas, where she resides. (UAV)
