Experts saw popular diets

Eating only during a certain time of the day, so-called intermittent fasting or “eating windows”, has become a popular diet trend. Proponents believe that it is a good way to lose weight and that there are many benefits to letting the body fast during The arguments have been that those who eat late in the evening have an increased risk of putting on weight or having a negative effect on their blood sugar that they simply eat less calories. Another is that fat storage would increase if we eat at certain times of the day. Now, American researchers have done a comparative study with 41 people with obesity 18. They ate the largest portion of calories before 1 p.m. The other group was randomly assigned to eat between 8 a.m. and midnight with the highest calorie intake after 5 p.m. Each day, all participants were given the same type of food in the form of prepackaged meals with precisely measured amounts calories. The study lasted twelve days and the researchers checked weight and a number of other health parameters before and after the twelve days. No difference It turned out that regardless of what time of day the participants ate, they lost an average of 2.4 kilos in weight. There was also no difference in blood sugar curves, blood fats, blood pressure or waist measurements between the two groups. There were thus none of the examined health parameters that were affected by a shorter eating window. The researchers behind the study write that there may be benefits to time-limited eating anyway. For example, some feel that it is an easy diet because it does not mean that you count calories but can eat whatever you want within the eating window. The study, which has been published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, has some limitations such as the small number of participants and the fact that it took place over a relatively short period of time.
