The record high inflation has continued without any major reductions. But the worst may soon be over, according to Deputy Governor of the Riksbank Anna Breman.
– I think we are back to around two percent around the turn of the year by 2024, she says in SVT’s Economic Agency.
National Economist Klas Edlund is not as convinced that the inflation target will be reached so quickly.
– I hope so, but I’m afraid it may take a little longer. But we will move downwards over the course of next year, he says.
In October, inflation landed at 9.3 percent compared to October 2021, according to Statistics Norway.
