After yesterday’s incident, the province and the municipalities of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Leusden, Zeist, and Woudenberg called on residents and visitors to be very careful in the forest area of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. People with small children are advised to avoid the area completely. “But we also advise you to be extra alert when you want to enter the forests near Zeist, Woudenberg, Leusden and Utrechtse Heuvelrug with dogs. In any case, keep dogs on a leash and close by”, says a provincial spokesperson. He adds that the province and municipalities will not check for the presence of people with small children in the forests.
