Expert wants to ban what most people enjoy in Diablo 4 – demands that heroes become weaker

Diablo expert Rob2628 is known for his OP builds in Diablo 4. However, he is now calling for the classes to be weakened and says: It shouldn’t be possible to kill the hardest bosses so quickly.

In Season 2, the OP builds were particularly well received. Sorceresses, for example, who were previously considered the absolute weakest class, could even melt Uber Lilith in seconds with ball lightning. Such options are what people enjoy in games like Diablo.

Diablo expert Rob2628 is known for his OP builds in Diablo 4. On the PTR he tested a Hurricane build with his druid and showed in a YouTube video how he uses it to oneshot the “level 200” versions of the bosses .

In his new video Rob shows “broken” builds of the PTR. He now says: It’s actually not okay to be able to oneshot “level 200” bosses and wants balancing.

After the PTR we are back in Season 3 of Diablo 4:

“We want a fair game”

What exactly does the expert require? In his YouTube video from April 11th, Rob2628 presents gameplay clips for all five classes in Diablo 4. With the community he collected the builds that were strongest during the PTR.

It shows various clips in which the heroes fight against “level 200” bosses. The fights are all similar: you use a few skills and the bosses’ health bars dwindle as if they were many levels below the heroes.

His conclusion: Nobody wants the hardest boss fight in the game to go like this. In the description of the video, Rob2628 writes: “When Season 4 begins, we all want a balanced and fair game.”

In the video you can get your own impression of the combat situations and the “broken” builds:

What speaks against very strong builds? Diablo 4 continually has to contend with criticism that players become bored in the endgame. Despite various endgame activities, frequent players in particular get bored from level 80 onwards.

With the “Level 200” versions of the bosses comes a new challenge in Diablo 4 for players to work towards. However, if there are builds that can easily oneshot even the toughest bosses, this automatically affects something that was originally intended to make the endgame more challenging.

“We shouldn’t be able to do that.”

What does the community say about this? The user “notjack6926” writes in his comment: “It would be a big win if they made it so that the 200 Uber bosses can’t be killed immediately with every build.” Someone notes that that’s exactly the point of these games is – to become as strong as possible.

One user writes: “I don’t think you can balance anything based on these players. Most average players don’t play or build like that.”

In a comment, “Araturion” writes: “We shouldn’t be able to one-shot all elite enemies or bosses in the game that are level 110-200. […] They need to balance the game better. Some skills do 500k and others do trillions of damage. Bosses can’t be bosses as long as there’s such a big difference between skill damage.”

However, the majority of players are keen on being able to easily transform anything and everything. After the big criticism at the start, the players in Season 2 were suddenly completely OP and loved it. Many people said at the time: That’s why they’re coming back, that’s why they’re staying. They wanted the strength to stay that way. Blizzard has even announced that the strongest seasonal abilities will be returning.

Players not only tested different builds on the PTR, but also the numerous features that will be added in Season 4. Overall, the feedback on the update is positive – but there are also requests for changes: Diablo 4 impresses with Season 4 – players explain what still needs to change
