Expert is already showing the strongest builds in Season 4 for each class

At the beginning of April, the test server for Season 4 of Diablo 4 was running and experts tried out various builds. Here are the strongest builds for all five classes that emerged.

During the PTR (Public Test Realm), streamers presented various builds in which the high damage numbers just flew across the screen. So we were able to see builds that allowed players to oneshot even the “level 200” versions of bosses.

Season 4 starts on May 14th and many experts are already showing the builds that they believe will be at the top of the tier lists in the new season.

The sorceresses continue to dominate the leaderboards. Here you can see a video about the rankings, which will remain even beyond Season 3:

The strongest builds for Season 4 in Diablo 4

In a YouTube video from April 9th, Diablo expert and content creator Rhykker provides insight into the strongest builds for Season 4 that stood out in the PTR. Rhykker is part of the Maxroll.gg team, one of the most famous build sites.

In the 25-minute video he explains how the skills work and makes assumptions for the coming season. We summarize the builds below. Keep in mind that the classes could still be adjusted and individual skills or builds could be nerfed.

Barbarian – Whirlwind build

What is the strongest Barbarian build? For the Barbarian, a Whirlwind build has emerged as the “top performer” of the builds. Here you don’t have to rely on uniques, and the build is also well suited for entry into the class.

With the Whirlwind Barbarian you scream at your opponents, whirl through enemy lines and deal bleed damage as well as increasing critical damage. The calls take your power and that of your allies to a new level. You dismantle any large group of enemies with a dizzying whirlwind.

“Tempering”, one of the new crafting options in Season 4, is particularly crucial for the build. With “Tempering” you have the opportunity to add affixes and thus strengthen certain abilities so that they are cast more often – such as “ Dust Devils.”

Which skills do I use?

  • Whirlwind
  • Challenge call
  • War cry
  • war cry
  • Leap
  • Berserker’s Wrath
  • Sorceress – Frozen Orb build

What is the strongest sorceress build? For Season 4, Rhykker recommends the “Frozen Orb” build, but it requires a certain unique to be particularly effective. This is the new “Fractured Winterglass” amulet that Lord Zir drops at world level 4. The build is quite strong and surprisingly “tanky”.

With the build, you basically spam the frozen balls constantly, making your opponents vulnerable. You rely on a high chance of a lucky hit because you have a higher chance of resetting the cooldown times of defensive skills using the passive skill “Harmony of the Elements”.

The amulet also ensures that casting the Frozen Orb has a chance of generating a random summon when it explodes. With the Lucky Hit, summons also have a chance to shoot Frozen Orbs at nearby enemies. The teleport is your mobility ability.

    Which skills do I use?

  • Frozen ball
  • Ice blades
  • Flame Shield
  • Ice armor
  • Teleportation
  • Lightning Spear

    Necromancer – Plague build

What is the strongest Necromancer build? For Season 4, Rhykker recommends a Necromancer plague build that can deal decent damage. He assumes that the build will be nerfed but could still be at the top of the tier list. In addition, he suspects that the adjustments in Season 4 will also make the minion builds among the top builds.

The plague build revolves around shadow damage and the new unique “Ebonpiercer”, an amulet that drops Grigoire at world levels 3 and 4. This causes the Plague Skill to fire 4 smaller projectiles that pierce enemies and deal Shadow damage for 3 seconds.

In addition, “Tempering” puts a lucky hit affix on your wand that can increase your shadow damage enormously (by up to +23,000). As you age, you slow down your enemies, while the blood mist gives you immunity for a few seconds. Additionally, you equip the “Ring of the Soul of Sacrilege,” which automatically triggers your equipped corpse explosion.

    Which skills do I use?

  • pest
  • Bloody Harvest
  • Bonestorm
  • Blood mist
  • Corpse explosion
  • aging
  • Huntress – Rapid fire build

What is the strongest Huntress build? As a hunter, you play a rapid-fire build that relies on the new unique ring “Scoundrel’s Kiss”, which you can get from Lord Zir at world level 4 in Season 4. You can also play the build without Scoundrel’s Kiss, but it is much more efficient and deadly with the ring.

The ring gives you additional ranks on the rapid fire skill and ensures that the skill throws exploding arrows that deal increased damage. With Tempering you can further maximize damage by adding an affix that would allow Rapid Fire to cast a second time.

The cold infusion coats your weapons with frosty energy. With Pierce you throw blades at your enemies and your exploding death trap causes enormous damage to your opponents. Shadow Step and Dash are mobility skills that deal damage at the same time.

    Which skills do I use?

  • Rapid fire
  • puncture
  • Shadow step
  • Cold infusion
  • Death trap
  • Rush

    Druid – Werewolf Tornado build

What is the strongest Druid build? The Druid uses a variant of the actual Werewolf Tornado build, which was modified in Season 4 with various items. Pets that will receive a buff in the coming season will be integrated into the Tornado build.

With the Shepherd’s Aspect you get a damage boost for every companion you have. Not only do you equip wolves and ravens, but you also skill the ravens so that two additional ones attack regularly. The more pets you have, the more damage you do.

You add an affix to your weapon with Tempering for a chance for tornado projectiles to work twice. For the build you also need the unique helmet “Tempest Roar”, which you can farm at Duriel.

    Which skills do I use?

  • tornado
  • Debilitating Roar
  • Poison vine
  • Ravens
  • trampling
  • Wolves
  • These are the strongest builds in Season 4 of Diablo 4 according to the PTR. How the builds and the individual skills will behave in the new season will become clear in May.
