Experienced David Moyes returns to the coaching helm of Everton

David Moyes takes over the coaching responsibility of Everton, who play in the English Premier League.

Scottish coach David Moyes returns after almost 12 years as the head coach of Everton, who plays in the English Premier League. Moyes succeeds Everton as head coach Sean Dychewhose run at the club ended on Thursday with dismissals.

Moyes, 61, served as Everton’s head coach from 2002-2013 and guided the Liverpool team to a best-ever fourth place in the Premier League. After his Everton stint, Moyes coached Manchester United and Real Sociedad with poor results, but the latest coaching stint at West Ham 2019-2024 went quite cheerfully. Moyes piloted the London club to the Conference League championship and the best sixth place in the Premier League.

– It’s great to be back in the company! I enjoyed 11 great and successful years at Everton and I didn’t hesitate when I was offered the chance to return,” Moyes said in an Everton press release.

Everton is currently in the relegation battle in the Premier League in 16th place.
