When Koenigsegg’s wealthy customers order their cars, they are often guided by making the cars as unique as possible. It is partly a question of uniqueness, and partly a question of increasing the car’s resale value.
The car in question is thus built in black carbon fiber with details in real gold. In total, it has extra equipment worth 501,000 dollars, equivalent to 5.2 million kroner.

The name Regera comes, unsurprisingly, from the verb “to rule” which is indeed what the car intends to do.
The Regera is by definition a plug-in hybrid and the power comes from a 5-liter twin-turbo V8 that pumps out over 1,000 horsepower and an electric motor that contributes around 700 horsepower. The total system output is 1,781 horsepower.
