Camping tourism looks set to reach record numbers this year, both in terms of cottage villages and other camping.
Since the pandemic restrictions were removed, the foreign campers have found their way back to Sweden.
Among them the Norwegians, who account for half of all foreign guests during a normal year.
– There is very good service and nice people in Sweden, says Norwegian camper Lasse Johansen.
The figure is so far 15-20 percent higher than in 2019 and if the trend continues, it will be a record year for camping, according to Svensk Camping’s CEO Peter Jansson.
