The EU has begun work on expanding the sanctions against Iran following the country’s attack on Israel, announced EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell after a crisis meeting with the union’s foreign ministers.
The plan is to make it more difficult for Iran to supply Russia and Iran’s allies in the Middle East with weapons, among them drones.
Among other things, Russia daily uses Iranian-made weapons, so-called Shahed drones, in attacks on Ukrainian cities.
