Open end is the title of the major exhibition devoted to Marlène Dumas at the Palazzo Grassi, one of the museums of the Pinault Foundation in Venice. The artist, born in South Africa where she trained in the fine arts, now lives in Amsterdam. The exhibition is spread over two floors and sweeps across all the themes dear to the artist, gender issues, racism, violence of all kinds in various formats.
