Eagle-eyed Netflix subscribers may have noticed that The Raid director Gareth Evans’ action thriller Havoc still hasn’t been announced for 2024. The film stars Venom star Tom Hardy in the hard-boiled lead role already in the box since 2021 and will be ready by 2023 at the latest, as we hear.
For action fans who had already given up hope, we finally have some good news… so maybe.
What is the action thriller Havoc starring Tom Hardy about?
A lot is about the long-awaited Action hit unknown: Hardy plays a detective named Walker who has to fight his way through the criminal underworld after a drug deal goes wrong. In the dark web of conspiracies and corruption, he is tasked with saving the estranged son of a politician.
The other cast includes Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzmán and Timothy Olyphant as well as Jessie Mei Li, Yann Yann Yeo and martial arts expert Michelle Waterson-Gomez.

Is Havoc coming to Netflix in 2024?
As our colleagues at World of Reel have learned, Havoc could be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September this year. Alternatively, Netflix will forego the festival circuit and the film Simply put it online in the second half of 2024. However, as always with WoR, one must exercise caution because we are in the realm of rumors.
As soon as we hear more concrete information about the film’s release, we will of course sound the alarm.
In the meantime, where do I get a Gareth Evans or Tom Hardy fix?
To bridge the time until Havoc, you could, for example, treat yourself to the director’s last projects. Evans’ film Apostle can be found on Netflix, while his series Gangs of London is available on Sky Go and WOW. Hardy, on the other hand, was most recently seen in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which is streaming on Joyn+.
