Millions of people die every year due to cancer. Cancer cases are increasing day by day. There are many factors that cause cancer. Among these factors, malnutrition is at the top. Unhealthy nutrition affects the whole life and creates the basis for diseases. However, some foods that are thought to be healthy can also increase the risk of cancer. Studies have revealed that foods that you think are very healthy increase the risk of skin and prostate cancer.
Eating MORE THAN TWO PORTIONS A WEEK IS HARMFUL
Eating fish more than twice a week may increase your risk of developing melanoma, a deadly type of skin cancer, according to research. Scientists have studied the rate at which adults eat fish and their disease. According to the results, it was learned that those who ate at least two servings of fish a week were one-fifth more likely to develop skin cancer. This may be due to cancer-causing contaminants in fish, US academics said. Other experts said that fish still forms an important part of a healthy diet and there is no need to stop eating it. The researchers noted that people who eat more non-fried fish may have other lifestyle habits that increase their risk of melanoma.
MORE THAN 25 PERCENT
Another study found that men who drank more than 430g of cow’s milk a day were 25 percent more likely to develop prostate cancer than men who drank less than 20g of cow’s milk. Hormones found naturally in milk may be to blame, the researchers said. They encouraged men with a family history of the disease to be ‘wary’ about drinking ‘moderate’ milk until the findings became clear. Men can prefer soy, oat and cashew milk instead of cow’s milk.
