On the macroeconomic front, the first estimates of the balance of theeuro area of Eurostat have shown a surplus of €22.3 billion in trade in goods with the rest of the world in June 2024, compared with €18.0 billion in June 2023. Euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world amounted to €236.7 billion, down by 6.3% compared with June 2023, while imports amounted to €214.3 billion, down by 8.6%.
