A man in his 30s has died in a workplace accident in Hässleholm.
The accident occurred shortly after 01 o’clock on the night of Sunday when an excavator overturned during work on a railway track. The man was pinned down. He was taken to hospital, but his life could not be saved.
– We are investigating the case as a workplace accident and causing the death of another to find out the circumstances of how this incident could have happened, says police spokesperson Filip Annas.
Train traffic has been temporarily stopped between Hässleholm and Lund, but it is planned to be able to resume at 09:00.
