Ex ski jumping star Harri Olli to IS My support was

Fresh graduate engineer Harri Olli tells Ilta-Sanom that he has kept his cap on for a long time.

Former ski jumper star Harri Olli tells his latest news Ilta-Sanom.

Olli, who turns 40 in January, has graduated with a master’s degree in engineering. Olli started mechanical and construction engineering studies at Aalto University in 2019.

Olli, who jumped to silver at the World Championships in 2007, was in the middle of the uproar in his sports career and has been in the headlines since then as well.

In November 2023, Olli was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence of one year and six months and to perform 70 hours of community service.

The conviction came from three assaults that occurred in 2021 and 2022, as well as aggravated assault, unlawful threats and defamation. The target of violence was Olli’s ex-spouse’s boyfriend, in other crimes his ex-spouse.

Olli commented on the events in the interview.

– You have to react to things that bother you, because if you don’t, things are no longer in your own hands. But you should never act that way, he states about the events that led to the verdict.

– No one should be guilty of such behavior. I myself try to learn my lessons and bear my responsibility so that similar things do not happen again. After serving the punishment, my intention is to turn a new page in my life.

“A child is the most important thing in the world to me”

Olli’s sports career ended for the first time in 2011, but he later returned to the Games with clearly less success than before.

– I didn’t have the optimal background group to support me, but I would have certainly succeeded in ski jumping better than I saw if I had been more cold-headed in my lack of attention. It was left to dig.

The former hill jumper says that he is interested, among other things, in the position of a sales engineer. In his spare time, Olli says that he spends a lot of time with his son. Olli says that he has already kept the cap on for longer.

– A child is the most important thing in the world to me. It would be important to get to work quickly so that my financial situation would improve and I could invest money in my child’s well-being. My son likes swimming. I try to be fully supportive of his hobby.
