Entrepreneurs’ association Evofenedex reacts with irritation to the news that the municipality of Utrecht has recently started using ten new trucks that run on fossil fuels. Transport and Logistics Netherlands (TLN) is also surprised. In 2017, the representatives concluded a covenant with the municipality to drive emission-free in the city center of Utrecht from 2025. The fact that Utrecht has now started using new fossil trucks itself, Evofenedex calls ‘a slap in the face for every SME’. TLN believes that the municipality is not setting a good example.
