When will Greta Gerwig’s Narnia remake be on Netflix?
Netflix secured the rights to the popular fantasy material back in 2018 and planned a major project around it. The film adaptation only got rolling in 2023 with the news that Barbie director Greta Gerwig would be the creative force behind the first two parts.
While pre-production started this year in the UK, filming is scheduled to start in August 2024 and is scheduled to last for about seven months. If this plan is adhered to, the first part could be End of 2025 on Netflix. However, the streamer has not yet announced an official launch date.

What is the Narnia remake on Netflix about?
It is not yet known which of CS Lewis’ seven Narnia novels the Netflix adaptation will take on.
