We’ve gathered all we know about the release date, plot and gameplay dynamics of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will be released this year.
Confirmed after many leaks, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is rapidly moving towards its release date. Although Ubisoft keeps its mouth shut about the production, there are also some information we obtained in various interviews and information provided by the company. In this content, we bring together all we know about Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
All we know about Assassin’s Creed Mirage is just scraps of information.
Still, there are some important details. For example, we know where the game will take place, how long it will take or how many regions it will consist of. That’s why, without making you wait any longer, let’s start listing all we know.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Date
The game will be released this year. Although there is no clear date yet, we do not think that there will be a difference in Mirage, considering that the previous major release games are generally released in October, November and December. Announcing that it will not attend E3 in the past days, the company will hold its own event during the E3 period (June 12, 2023). It will also announce the game’s release date at this event.
Story
Assassin’s Creed goes back to the basics of the story. Assassin’s Creed Mirage producer Fabian Salomon said in an interview that they listened to the call from the players. He also gave information about the gameplay dynamics of Mirage in the same interview. You can read about it in the gameplay section below.
In the production, which is about 20 years before Valhalla, which was published in 2020, we will see Basim, who lives with his father at the age of 17, and how he turns into an assassin. We will witness the educational process by which Basim will gain him an ideology and free will by Roshan.
The producers say that this is not a remake of AC1, but a production made to commend it. It also clarifies the information that the game will take place in Baghdad, which has already been announced by the producers.
We will also witness the construction process of the Alamut Fortress in the north of Iran throughout the story. Although The Secret Crusade has appeared for the first time before, we will be in the castle for real. We already get our education there. The castle was also mentioned in Rogue and Valhalla. This will be our first meeting with the city of Alamut in the AC series.
Although it is very important to give players the opportunity to experience the Alamut Castle up close, the construction of the castle was still going on at that time. So the castle wasn’t quite ready. We can already see it in the trailer. We will only be able to explore some of the Assassin camps in the area with the castle in the background.
City
We know that Baghdad is divided into four different parts. Although we have to face a final boss in each episode, it is not yet clear how they will be revealed. We will learn their details as the details of the story emerge.
Historical Stream
I think this is one of the most interesting points for us. Turkish Soldiers who were in the region during the historical period of the game were also included in the production. The game, which coincides with the period known as Samarra Chaos, will also touch on the effects and events of the period.
Gameplay
Fabian Salomon, by returning to the East, says that they like the idea of going to the roots of the game very much, signaling that they will also go down to the foundations of Assassin’n Creed. This means that the production promises us parkour-based, stealth and assassinations. It is said that the mechanics that have changed in the last games will go back to the old style and will be in the AC2 and Brotherhood setting.
It was said that as a track system, it will be inspired by the mechanics in Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Platforms
The game will be a cross-generational release. Which means we should expect it for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. We might even add other platforms and cloud streaming services if we go a little further.
We believe we will get more information about Assassin’s Creed Mirage at the Ubisoft Forward event, which will be held on June 12th.
