TOP CHEF 2023. Season 14 of Top Chef is coming soon to M6. The contours of the culinary competition were revealed during a press conference. And a lot of changes are to be expected in 2023!

The contours of the culinary competition were unveiled this Friday, December 9. With big “structural and mechanical” changes to come for season 14: the 15 candidates will only participate in two events each week, so that the episodes will be shorter on M6. Consequence of this decision, and not the least: finished the test of the last chance!
If the Top Chef jury does not change in season 14 (Glenn Viel, Paul Pairet, Philippe Etchebest and Hélène Darroze), there will be no red brigade this year. However, Hélène Darroze does not disappear from the competition, since she will conduct her own secret competition in parallel: each week, the eliminated candidates will compete for the duration of a test. The last in the running will be able to rejoin Top Chef, directly in the quarter-finals.
Finally, the episodes of Top Chef 2023 will each have a specific related theme that can make gastronomy more accessible to the public. Among the events that we can see during the season, note that the black box becomes the white box, which will put more emphasis on the five senses, or even a test in a food market or the return of the test with the children.

Louise Bourrat is the big winner of Top Chef in 2022. Hélène Darroze’s candidate faced Arnaud Delvenne in the final of the M6 competition on June 15, 2022. She won the hearts of the jury and Red Cross volunteers with 56.19% of the votes against the Belgian competitor who won 43.81% of the votes. Thanks to her victory, Louise from Top Chef won a check for 56,190 euros, which she intends to invest in her establishment. Indeed, the 26-year-old candidate is the chef of her own restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal.
Top Chef is the Wednesday night TV show. The 2022 season started on February 16 and ended on June 15, 2022 with the victory of Louise Bourrat. Each new episode can be discovered on M6 from 9:10 p.m. on Wednesdays. It is also possible to find Top Chef in replay the day after its broadcast on the 6play.fr site. The M6 show has been renewed for season 14, which will be broadcast in the first half of 2023.
For the time being, we do not yet know the candidates who will participate in season 14 of Top Chef. M6 has launched a call for applications, looking for kitchen professionals aged 18 to 40 living in France, Belgium or Switzerland. Since the creation of Top Chef, the show’s jury has evolved from season to season, with some chefs leaving the show to be replaced by new names from the French culinary scene. For the 2022 season, Philippe Etchebest (blue brigade), Hélène Darroze (red brigade) and Paul Pairet (purple brigade) return to the jury. On his side, Michel Sarran was replaced by Glenn Viel at the start of the 2022 season.
Glenn Viel is the new member of the Top Chef jury. The chef of the Oustau restaurant in Baumanière (Baux-de-Provence) is coaching the orange brigade this year. “He has every intention of blowing it all up, commented Stéphane Rotenberg. He arrived with energy and the will to do very hard”. Glenn Viel explains that he did not specifically ask to join the jury of Top Chef 2022, he was contacted by the production. “Of course, I jumped at the chance, he recalls. It’s a competition that is well perceived, well seen, with the greatest chefs in the world who come to participate. I was welcomed with a lot of benevolence and kindness.”
