When did Torgny Söderberg die?

Torgny Söderberg passed away on 5 August 2022, aged 77. At his death, he was praised by, among other things Lena Philipson, Sanna Nielsen and Bert Karlsson.

Söderberg was a diligent songwriter and was the author of no less than 13 contributions to the Melodifestivalen, perhaps the most famous were “Diggi loo diggi ley” which was performed by Herreys, “Kärleken är evig” which was performed by Lena Philipson and “100%” which was performed by Lotta Engberg and the group Triple & Touch.

He has also written “Where do all beautiful dreams go” performed by Look at Sjöblom.

Who was Torgny Söderberg’s wife?

Torgny Söderberg has kept her private life just that: private. In an interview in Today’s News in connection with his 75th birthday, however, it appears that he had a wife.

Who is Torgny Söderberg’s daughter?

In the same interview, it also appears that Söderberg has a child, whether it is a son or a daughter is not revealed.

Lasse Holm and Torgny Söderberg – how did they know each other?

1987 founded Lasse Holm and Söderberg record company Big Bag Records.

Shortly before Söderberg’s passing, Holm and Söderberg selected songs from their respective portfolios and in 2023 the musical “They’re what we call love” was staged.

In an interview with Aftonbladet, Holm talked about the void Söderberg left behind.

– Torgny was a big teddy bear, but the last time I got to hug him he was almost just skin and bones. His passing this summer has left a great void in my life. I can often thank Torgny for the fact that I had fun every day at work, he said the newspaper when.
