What is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? The sequel to 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance is once again being created by the Czech Republic’s Warhorse Studios and continues the story of Henry in medieval Europe in the 15th century.

You can expect an open-world adventure from a first-person perspective that places a great focus on the story, an authentic simulation of the game world and the role-playing experience. The KCD series takes an old-school approach that gives you comparatively little guidance, but also gives you a lot of freedom.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 scope and roadmap

How much playing time is in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? The new role-playing game from Warhorse Studios is significantly more extensive than its predecessor and should keep players busy for around 80 to 100 hours if they complete many of the side quests in addition to the main story.

If you put your foot down and concentrate on what’s important, 50 to 60 hours is realistic. If you want to see everything, you should end up with more than 120 hours.

Is there more content planned for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? Yup! As part of free updates or paid DLCs, additional quest series, a hardcore mode and a barber feature come into play.

Anyone who buys the gold or collector’s edition of KCD2 will automatically receive the expansion pass and thus access to all content planned for the year. Here you can find the details from the new roadmap:

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Multiplayer, co-op, prior knowledge and demo

Below we answer a few questions about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 that are asked particularly frequently.

Can I play Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 in co-op or multiplayer? No. The role-playing game focuses entirely on the solo experience. There is neither co-op nor multiplayer mode.

Is there a demo for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? Unfortunately no. Basically, you can use the first part as a test balloon to find out whether KCD2 could be something for you. On Steam, for example, it currently costs 30 euros. The RPG was available at sales for significantly less.

Do I have to have played the previous version? The story of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 continues the events from the first part and repeatedly refers to moments and characters from the predecessor.

Through short flashbacks, the game manages to refresh some of the key moments that were not experienced or have been forgotten in the meantime, but this does not offer a complete replacement for playing the first part.

As far as gameplay is concerned, a tutorial phase and regular text displays help you get to grips with the role-playing game’s most important systems. Like Part 1, KCD2 also refrains from constantly taking you by the hand and telling you every detail. Anyone who has already dabbled in the predecessor should enjoy a noticeable advantage here too.
