What are careers? In Dragon’s Dogma 2 you can assign yourself and your vassal a career. This career, also known as class, influences the way your player fights. There are 10 classes to choose from, allowing for different play styles. This is who they are and this is what they can do:

  • fighter
  • Fighters fight with sword and shield as a classic knight, fighting their enemies and protecting their comrades.
  • Archer
  • Archers fight from a distance with bows and arrows and can thus better attack weak points of enemies.
  • Thief
  • Thieves are nimble fighters, making quick attacks with their daggers and dealing high damage. In addition, they can steal from NPCs or opponents.
  • magician
  • The magician uses his staff to cast spells to strengthen, heal or deal attacks on his comrades. Depending on how powerful the spell is, the execution time increases.
  • warrior
  • The warriors are powerful fighters in close combat. They use two-handed weapons and can withstand counterattacks from enemies with their sturdy bodies. Her charged attacks against unprotected enemies are among the strongest of all careers.
  • Archmage
  • Archmages have various magical attacks and can cover the entire battlefield with them. The Archmage takes longer to cast his spells and often has to wait for the right moment.
  • Magic archer
  • Magic archers can use a magic bow to heal allies, support them, or attack enemies. This career can only be chosen by the Awakened.
  • Mystical blade
  • The Mystic Blade uses magic and melee combat to keep up with its opponents at various distances. You paralyze enemies or throw objects at them. This career can only be chosen by the Awakened.
  • illusionist
  • The illusionists can use their weapon, the censer, to strengthen allies or create illusions to deceive opponents. This career can only be chosen by the Awakened.
  • Warmaster
  • Warmasters can use any weapon and learn many skills from other careers, creating an entirely new playstyle. This career can only be chosen by the Awakened.
