Being SD and gay has long been taboo, but now the “SD gays” are making themselves known at all levels of society, all the way up to the EU and the Riksdag. They are called homonationalists, are conservative, critical of immigration, dislike Pride and distance themselves from Drag Story Hour.
In SVT’s new documentary “SD-bögar” follows Erik Galli, 32, Sweden Democratic voters, debaters, politicians and representatives of American Gays for Trump to understand a growing social phenomenon: homonationalism.

As far as we know, Erik is not in a relationship right now. But in his SVT documentary “Under the knife”, viewers get to see his ex Fredrik Söderholm. For Gothenburg Post he tells us that his ex thought it was unsexy about his anxiety about his appearance.
– When I meet my ex Fredrik and he says my anxiety about my appearance was an unsexy element in our relationship – then I unfortunately know that the program will be worse if it is cut. So now we haven’t cut anything. And it feels damn scary, he tells the newspaper.
Erik Galli talked about cosmetic procedures in “Under the Knife”
In the documentary “Under the Knife”, journalist Erik Galli opens up about his beauty interventions, which he has long tried to hide. He says that already in his teens he started dreaming about changing his face.
He had his first procedure in his 20s and has since undergone various types of appearance changes.
– The only time I’ve felt this way before telling something, it was when I came out as gay. They are very similar to each other, these feelings. You feel “I’m an adult who does what I want with my body”, yet it feels completely impossible to tell about it, says Erik Galli to TT.
The operation went wrong
Erik Galli tells about how, as a 23-year-old, he went to Poland to operate on his nose, which ended up with it becoming crooked and him becoming chronically smelly. He wants to inform people that it can actually go really wrong and that it can be life and death when it comes to cosmetic surgery.
