If you, too, find your smartphone needs to be recharged during the day, it’s because some habits need to be reviewed regarding its use. Among them, a bad habit could well change the situation.

After scrolling through your Instagram feed, commenting on your loved ones’ Facebook photos, and sending a Snapchat to your husband, your battery is almost dead. And when your work day hasn’t even started yet, it’s easy to imagine that it’s going to be hard to do without your charger for the next few hours. So, to avoid having to constantly recharge your battery, all you need to do is stop a mechanical action, especially when you’re scrolling through your social networks, sending a text message, or surfing any other application. We’ll explain.

It was on his TikTok account that mobile tips specialist Verbozz revealed the trick. Whether you use an Android phone or an iPhone, you absolutely must avoid this automatism that only weakens your battery. And knowing that you repeat this bad habit several times a day, we let you imagine the loss of earnings… Indeed, the TikTok influencer explains that by trying to systematically close your applications on your smartphone, this draws more on the battery: “You must immediately stop exiting your applications by toggling them up […]the fact that the iPhone (or other type of smartphone) have to relaunch them when you press the application again, it will consume a lot more battery”, he explains. So if you think you can preserve your mobile’s charge by closing the current windows every time you use your device, you’re wrong.

But Verbozz has another trick. In this same video, he indicates that a specific setting in your smartphone’s settings can also limit the wear and tear on your battery. For example, on an iPhone, this looks like this: “in your settings, go down to ‘battery’, then ‘battery and charging status’ and activate ‘optimized battery charging’, this will prevent your phone’s battery from getting too damaged when you leave it charging all night.” He pursues : “Indeed, leaving it at 100% for too long will wear out the battery. By activating this option, you will simply ask the iPhone to recharge up to 80% and finish the little bit of charge that is missing just before waking you up.” So, it’s your turn!
