Everyone makes this error on their TV yet it strongly

A simple configuration can greatly affect the quality of the images broadcast on your television screen. However, it is possible to deactivate it in a few seconds.

Although it is increasingly replaced by other screens, television is always one of the favorite ways of the French to consume entertainment. In 2023, the Surveration Institute Statista revealed in particular that “watching television” was the favorite activity of 74% of French people to distract themselves.

A fact that makes sense when we know that around 92% of households in France are provided with at least one television position today. Television has also been widely used since it allows you to be connected to a TV box, IPTV or streaming account, such as Netflix or Disney+.

However, a large majority of consumers of television programs take care of their aircraft. It must be said that modern televisions can be quite complicated to configure properly or even select. Between image quality (HD, QHD, 4K …), the frequency of refreshment, the audio system or the integrated services, it is not uncommon to use your television directly out of your packaging and without retouching to its parameters!

However, these said parameters may not always be the most optimal to enjoy the best image quality. There is in particular a special mode integrated by the majority of current televisions which can strongly degrade your viewing experience when it is left active: the “energy saving” mode.

On paper, such a mode is very practical. It makes it possible to reduce the active consumption of your TV a little when you let it switch on without focusing too much. A rather welcome mode when you know that connected TV is one of the devices that consume the most when it stays in standby, mainly due to possible background updates.

The “energy saving” mode, however, has the effect of seriously affecting the image quality of your TV since it will play on several options, such as reduction in brightness or even color saturation. Certain energy saving modes can also automatically extinguish your TV after a certain period of use. Thus, it is recommended not to use this mode permanently if you do not need it.

To deactivate the “energy saving” mode, go to your TV settings (using the notched or color wheel button on your remote control). In the “General” or “Image” tab, you should find the option and be able to deactivate it.
