Everyone in Norway is now saying the same thing after Hanna Öberg’s tough nightmare effort in the relay in the World Cup: “Poor Sweden”

It looked like there would be a Swedish victory in the relay in the World Cup.
But in the last shot, Hanna Öberg collapsed.
– I did not see this coming, says commentator Synnöve Solemdal to NRK.

It was a solid second place for the Swedish ladies during Wednesday’s relay. It was the second Swedish podium in the World Cup for the season, after Hannah Öberg and Sebastian Samuelsson won the mixed relay in the premiere.

World-class Öberg

The Swedish effort in Wednesday’s relay was a bit of a rollercoaster. Anna Magnusson started the race in third place, but dropped to seventh place after three failures. At the shift to Lynn Persson Sweden was in sixth place, which Persson was able to improve to fifth place at the shift to Elvira Öberg.

Then the Swedish climbing began. Elvira Öberg made a world-class effort, with flawless shooting and fantastic skiing. The 24-year-old was able to drive in over 40 seconds all the way up to first place. Sweden had a lead of 20 seconds when it was time for older sister Hanna Öberg.

Öberg’s nightmare

Despite a stable first two races, the Norwegian came Ingrid Landmark Dental violence increasingly closer to Hanna Öberg. Before the last shot, there were only a few seconds between them. Then the Swede collapsed completely and missed four in a row. That meant a penalty round, and Tandrevold was able to pull away and win it for Norway.
– Total collapse, stated the commentator Ola Lunde in NRK.
– Poor Sweden, said the colleague Torgeir Björn in the broadcast.

Despite Hanna’s nightmare shooting, it was a Swedish second place. Afterwards, the 28-year-old admitted that she was not happy with her performance, and that she was surprised by her four bars. Hanna wasn’t the only one who was surprised.
– This is exactly what I didn’t see coming, that Hanna Öberg would start with four misses in standing shooting. It was really a blast. All credit to Ingrid who kept a cool head, says the former biathlete and current expert Synnöve Solemdal to that NRK.
