These are four elderly people who have been diagnosed with injuries that cannot be explained as “natural”.

Deficiencies in elderly care in Sundsvall

– We have no reasonable explanation for what happened. It is now a police issue, says Lars-Ove Johansson, head of administration for care and social care in Sundsvall municipality.

Several authorities are investigating

One member of staff has been reported to the police and removed from duty. After the shutdown, no new signs of physical violence have been discovered.

– We have not seen any new damage to any residents.

The suspicions have also been reported to the Inspectorate for Care and Care, IVO.

What consequences could there be?

The investigations that have been carried out also do not show that more than the four should have any signs of having been subjected to violence.

The person who is suspended risks being separated from his position in the municipality.
