Even fans of cash shops don’t want to buy anything in Diablo Immortal, accusing Blizzard of extreme “greed”.

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

With Diablo Immortal, many players had concerns that the cash shop could have too many items that bring advantages in the game, so-called “Pay2Win” items. Now that the game is out, there is another point of criticism: Blizzard proves to be their own when it comes to cosmetics. Because if you buy an item in the shop, you only buy it for a single character – not account-wide. That creates excitement.

This was actually expected as a criticism of the cash shop:

  • Before the launch of Diablo Immortal, there were concerns from players that the game would constantly push players into the cash shop so that they could buy certain amenities there.
  • Mobile games like Diablo Immortal are notorious for setting up “artificial hurdles” that cause the gameplay experience to either be interrupted or progress very slowly unless players pay.
  • Now that the game is out, it’s a bit more relaxed. The PC Gamer site writes, for example: “Diablo Immortal isn’t quite Pay2Win, but it’s close” – another peculiarity of the shop is now causing trouble. Ironically, “cosmetic items”, which are actually often problem-free, cause trouble in Diablo Immortal.
  • I played Diablo Immortal for 15 hours without spending any money – how important is the shop?

Ironically, there is a lot of criticism of Diablo Immortal when it comes to actually harmless “cosmetics”.

What is currently being criticized the most about the shop? In the gaming forum reddit there were already 3 threads with many upvotes after the first day, which were upset about the same problem.

Items that you buy in the shop are bound to the character and server with which you buy the item. This applies to cosmetic items, frames, Battle Pass rewards or event goodies.

This means that if you later decide to change servers or start a new character, the purchase was for nothing. Once purchased, you cannot take the item with you. It is worthless to the new character.

Our tier list shows you which classes are currently strong. You can see the classes themselves here in the video:

  • One player says, “This causes extreme rigidity for all people with alts or those who can’t decide on a starter class. What a total shit, especially with store items. May I draw the developers’ attention to Path of Exile, where all characters always have full access to all cosmetic rewards?”
  • Another says, “What if I delete a character, are all the cosmetics gone too?”
  • A third wrote: “Welcome to the future. You will own nothing and you will be happy.”
  • Players demand: More freedom in cosmetics

What do players think it should be like? Many players are of the opinion: Items bought in the shop should be linked to the account and can be used by several characters.

The problem seems to bother a lot of people. Especially players who are used to leaving their money in the cash shop.

  • One user says, “I was thinking of getting a nice cosmetic armor set. But since there’s no account-wide unlock, I won’t.”
  • “It has to be account-wide. I would be happy to buy something. But the way it is now, I don’t spend a penny on the game.”
  • “The game is fun, but man, the money grab is so super aggressive. No wonder it’s banned by some European countries.”
  • “I’ve put about $1,000 into Hearthstone over the years, and if I enjoy playing Diablo Immortal, I would definitely support it. But I’m not spending money just to play this on a character on a server.”
  • One user that many agree with is particularly disappointed. He says: This is a “whole new level of greed”, Blizzard must address it as soon as possible.

As a customer, you have to set an example here.

The problem could also be so big because many plan to change classes later:
