The post office in Värnamo is a popular delivery option. Between November 28 and December 4, they handed out the most packages in the entire county – more precisely 3,397, according to figures from PostNord.
But where Black Week deliveries end, Christmas takes over. During the Christmas season, the store in Värnamo has to make new shelf systems in addition to the existing ones to cover all the packages that arrive.
– There are resources so we can accommodate them, but it will be a lot, says shop assistant Evelina Spångberg, who works with the post office.
Reinforced staffing
The store knows what to expect and is therefore prepared for Christmas and the changeover. Therefore, they have increased staffing.
– In order to make the extradition more efficient, it is very important that there are more of us on site. In order to accommodate customers and keep queues short, it is important that we do so, says Evelina.
