Erola is not worried that Lindholm will not be able to make good, own levels of their own this season. It is different whether Lindholm is able to raise his level in relation to the results of previous years.

Erola reminded that in men’s middle mat, the level is “freezing tight”, where good results are often stuck with small margins. Last weekend in Engadin, Lindholm’s 27th place was already a step ahead, and this coming Sunday, Erola is looking forward to better performance and investment among the top 20 in the Cogne World Cup 10 kilometer skiing competition.

For Piipo, the situation is not as optimistic. According to Erola, Piipo has a lot of factors in the background and the whole thing has not been in order in the longer term.

In the Les Rousses World Cup, Piippo was flagged off the track in the 20 kilometer traditional skiing race as Frida Karlsson, Sweden, bypassed him in a round. Piippo wondered in an interview with why Erola would have wanted him to ski to the finish, even though in a 10 -kilometer -free race two days earlier, Piippo was among the last.
“I don’t know what was achieved by this,” Piippo said.
According to Erola, it did not achieve anything, but neither was lost. He hoped that Piipo would have visited the same as I was in the Imatra Championships, where he was far from the tip on the first day of the race, but the next day he fought for the medal.
– They were the last screening places for Eve, and I believed that there would have been some kind of waking up. It didn’t achieve anything, but was it lost? At least they saw what the situation was.
According to Erola, Piipo has not actually set goals for the rest of the season.
