Eveliina Määttänen ran the 800m again under two minutes with a time of 2:00.05 in Zagreb, Croatia. It brought Määttänen ninth place in a tough competition, where no less than four runners clocked under 1.58.
This season, Määttänen has broken under two minutes three times, and the season’s best and record is 1:59.59. Finland’s record is Sara Lappalainen 1.59.41 from 2021.
