The Israeli army has issued an evacuation order for the southern parts of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.
The order applies to certain buildings in the area, which, according to Israel, must be evacuated immediately. Army spokesman Avichay Adraee said the message service in Xthat the targets to be evacuated are connected to the extremist organization Hezbollah.
Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said that Israel would hit the buildings “in a moment.” According to Hagar, the impact could collapse those buildings.
It is the first time that Israel issues an evacuation order in Lebanon.
Hezbollah announced late Friday that it had carried out a counterattack on the northern Israeli city of Safed.
The organization said in a statement that it launched several rockets “to defend Lebanon and its people in response to Israel.”
According to the Israeli Armed Forces, the Hezbollah strike hit a house and a car.
The Israeli armed forces also said that they struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon in the evening.
