Since March 2024, international actress Eva Longoria has been the ambassador of APM Monaco. Le Journal des Femmes spoke with the actress in the Parisian boutique of the jewelry brand.
She has just made her first film, called Flamin’ Hot. Eva Longoria has, for twenty years, been one of the most popular actresses of her generation. From her interpretation of Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives, on the red carpets that she still walks twelve years after the end of the series, Eva Longoria has become an icon thanks to her impeccable sense of style. In March 2024, the star agreed to collaborate with the luxury jewelry store APM Monaco. “I immediately wanted to work with the brand, because without my jewelry, I feel completely naked. Whether on a red carpet or in everyday life, I don’t go out if I don’t wear at least one pair of earrings“, explains the Texan. For the actress, a casual look consists of “a black blazer signed Saint Laurent, leggings and sneakers. I take risks on red carpets“. The actress assures her, outside of glamorous outings, comfort always trumps trends. “I’m not very ‘trendy'”, she confides. “For the APM campaign Monaco, I wear a simple white shirt and it represents me very well.”
Adorned with earrings, a necklace and numerous bracelets from the new collection, designed like a tribute to the Mediterranean, Eva Longoria confides that she loved everything about this collaboration. “I insisted on shooting the video spot in Monaco and not in Los Angeles. It was truly magnificent“, adds the ambassador.
At the service of its costume designers
Eva Longoria’s passion for fashion doesn’t stop at the studio doors. On film sets, the actress trusts the wardrobe teams to help her create thestylistic identity of the characters she plays. For her, clothing is the ideal way to understand who the individual she embodies really is. “When I read the scripts, I imagine whether my character is wearing color or not, a uniform, pumps, sneakers…” Currently filming the film The pick-up, in which she will appear alongside Eddy Murphy, the star confides that she is totally involved “in the service” of the costume designer Ruth E. Carter, double Oscar winner for the films in the saga Black Panther.
